Hunting season for roebuck: from 15 th April to 30th September.

Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) is a species of game which spread across Europe. "Big game" of the "Great Plain" found the best living-conditions for it specially in county: SZOLNOK, BÉKÉS, CSONGRÁD. Such trophies are derived from these counties that are on the first places of the world rankings. Endless farmlands, canals, and group of trees, bushes provide adequate food and hiding places for roedeer and small game.

The best hunting season is 15 th April to middle of May, and than in mating end of July and beginning of August.

Wild boar

Hunting season: boar, pig, piglet: in whole year.

Wild boar (Sus scrofa) can be found all over Hungary. This game found its ideal circumstances in our country. Everywhere enough water, food providing them with te standards of life and peace. The passionate hunters return in every year to bigbagged driven hunting where the bag is 40-50 pieces with 10 hunters in open area. There are a lot of capital trophy wild boar among them. 10 places of the world rankings can be found Hungarian tusks.

The best period of hunting for driven hunt and little driven hunt: 01st November to 31st January

Fallow deer

Hunting season of stag: 01st October to 31st December
Cow, hind: 01st October to 28th February

Fallow deer (Cervus dama) is the most famous species of game by hunters. Hungarian appearance of the fallow deer is still being debated. For sure the fallow deer has for centuries can be found in Hungary. The Hungarian fallow deer herd is the best in the world, and numbers of game shows permanent increase. Fallow deer needs a variety of habitats with a smaller non-contiguous forests and agricultural fields area. "Naturally" Hungarian fallow deer trophy is at the head of the World Ranking.

European red deer

Hunting season of stag: from 01st September to 31st October,
scull stag: from 01st September to 31st January, hind, cald: from 01st September to 28th February.

European red deer (Cervus Elaphus) stag is not only the king of big game, but the symbol of Hungarian history. The environment provides an excellent living conditions to red deer. We are long-standing destination for those hunters who would like to shoot their "life-stag" (the best stagtrophy of their lives) Quality of trophies is great: between 1986 and 2000, 30 trophies (pointed 250 CIC or higher point) had been judged by international trophy judgement. Trophy shooted on Karapancsa is outstanding with CIC its point 271.

Moufflon

Hunting season of moufflon ram: from 01st September to 28th February
Ewe, lamb: 01st September to 28th February

Moufflon (Ovis m.musimon) is non-native species of game in Hungary. The first units were deployed to Füzérradvány in 1901. Moufflon has now spread in all mountains, due to this introduction. Before World War II is about 2000 population lived in Hungary. After 1945, approx. 89 left. Then, the game was declared protected. Today thousand of individuals live in Hungarian mountains. The national trophy judgeing committee is still 3980 worthy of medal moufflon trophy were considered.

The best hunting areas are in mountains: Mátra, Gerecse, Vértes, Bakony.

The best hunting season is from beginning of October to middle of November.

Small game

The PHEASANT (Phasianus C.Colchicus) originated from Asia. There are many subspecies, which are crossed with each other over time. They are descendants of today's huntable pheasants. The pheasants like the varied flora. The best stock can be found in the Great Hungarian Plain. The hunters prefer hunting and looking for big-bagged driven hunts, like walking up hunts. Approximately 1 million pheasants are shooted in Hungary annualy.

for driven hunts: 01 st November to 31st January

WATERFOWL: Our country provide many opportunities for hunting Mallard, Teal and Coot. Their killing is limited (except the coot) 8 pieces /day/hunter. For small game hunts the most of hunters bring their own dogs. The raised duck hunting is very popular, there is no quantity limit. All hunters who excercises small game hunt, surely return home with unforgettable memories.

HARE: The hare (Lepus europeus) spread across the country except for the big game areas. The "real home" is in the Great Plain. Beginning of October starts the hare hunting. Most people combine with the pheasant-, and waterfowl hunting. This way of hunt requires a good condition of the hunters. Eurohunter's guest hunters bag more thousands of hare every year.
